CORDIA JOINS LOCAL WITH GLOBAL

NNEDPro-CORDIA

Cordia Group of Educational institutions have launched an international Program named as NNEdPro- CORDIA. It is a Rural Mobile Teaching Kitchen Project in Village Sanghol, District- FGS, Punjab, India. It is an extended initiative of NNEdPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health, Cambridge, UK.  https://www.nnedpro.org.uk/

NNEdPro aims to create a sustainable health promotion Teaching Kitchen programme, envisioned in line with the key UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Teaching Kitchen will be a mobile multi-purpose space that will serve as a community hub for malnutrition screening and prevention, health promotion, and disease prevention and a safe haven within the urban slums.

 The objectives of the Teaching Kitchen programme include the following:

·         Improve awareness (Knowledge, Attitutdes and Practices) of diet diversity and disease prevention

·         Measure indicators of nutritional health

·         Use cooking skills as a medium for education

·         Provide resources and signposting for food security

·         Promote social empowerment and impact preventative health

In March 2019 we launched the microenterprise phase of the Teaching Kitchen Project which is currently being piloted in institutes itself. If you are interested to know more about this project or provide support, please contact us at info@nnedpro.org.uk.

NNEDPRO SUMMER SCHOOL 2019

The summer school is intended for individuals interested in nutrition and its health applications and is also open to undergraduate students and other adult learners. Candidates are selected on the basis of their previous experience and overall suitability for the programme.

The International NNEdPro Summit on Medical & Public Health Nutrition Education & Research is a leading annual international scientific meeting in nutrition research and scientific dialogue attracting delegate who are key opinion leaders in the field from all over the globe. The Summit will held in close partnership with the official NNEdPro journal: BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health.

The NNEdPro International Summit took place at Wolfson College and Addenbrookes Biomedical Campus, Cambridge from July 19th - 20th, under the theme "Nutrition as a Hard Sceince". Doctors, nutritionists and other professionals as well as students came to Cambridge to discuss the most pressing issues and ground-breaking research in nutrition.

 

The NNEdPro Summer School in Applied Human Nutrition was part of NNEdPro Week 2018 and took place at Wolfson College from July 14th - 18th, 2018. The Summer School gathered experts and participants from all over the world to deliver a foundation certificate course in human nutrition.

The 4th International Summit on Medical Nutrition Education and Research was organised by the NNEdPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health and took place from July 19 - 20th 2018.
